Ljubljana, 6 November 2020 – The Government of the Republic of Slovenia issued the Regulation on the implementation of the Norwegian financial mechanism and the Financial mechanism of the European Economic Area in the Republic of Slovenia in the period 2014–2021 at yesterday’s correspondence session. The Regulation was published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.
The Regulation represents the basis for the use of funds under the EEA and Norway Grants and therefore regulates the implementation of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the EEA Financial Mechanism in Slovenia in details. The EEA and Norway Grants are funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The Regulation determines the programmes, participants, their tasks and the financial aspect of the implementation of the EEA and Norway Grants in Slovenia. The regulation defines the implementation of the following programmes and funds:
- Education – Enhancing Human Capital programme,
- Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation programme,
- Fund for Bilateral Relations,
- Active Citizens Fund,
- Social dialogue – decent work programme and
- technical assistance.
