3 May 2021 – The fourth and last call, Call for proposals for small projects, will be published by the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) on 10 May 2021. With an indicative budget of EUR 358,500, the call for proposals will be open to small NGOs with an annual turnover of less than EUR 50,000.
The funding under the call for proposals will support at least 18 projects of organisations active in under-served areas. An individual project will receive a contribution from the Active Citizens Fund varying between EUR 5,000 and EUR 20,000. Projects addressing priority fields of democracy, active citizenship, human rights and fight against discrimination, social justice and inclusion of vulnerable groups, gender equality and gender-based violence, environmental protection and fight against climate change will be eligible for support.
A series of workshops will be carried out for the organisations wishing to get funding for their project. Assistance and support in the form of free counselling will also be offered to the organisations. Registration for the information workshop providing basic information about the call and how to apply is already open.

Door wide open to small NGOs from less developed areas
NGOs established after 1 January 2018 with their registered office in cohesion region Vzhodna Slovenija but located outside any of the following urban municipalities (Maribor, Celje, Novo mesto, Velenje, Ptuj, Murska Sobota or Slovenj Gradec) will be offered a longer individual counselling session to help them navigate through the application process.
Organisations will be able to book an appointment for a counselling session once the call for proposals is out.
